ARGUS PLAYER
Acceptable Use Policy — Argus Player
Last updated: September 3, 2026 · Version 1.1
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy describes conduct that is prohibited when using the Argus Player application, website, optional account, paired devices, and account-managed sources. It forms part of the Terms of Use.
2. Lawful Sources Only
Every source you add must be one you own or have permission and legal authority to use. You are responsible for confirming that your provider's terms and applicable law permit access, playback, casting, guide use, subtitle use, and downloading.
Argus Player does not provide channels, playlists, movies, series, subscriptions, source credentials, or access to third-party media.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Argus Player or its online services to:
- Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Access content, accounts, devices, networks, or systems without authorization.
- Circumvent DRM, access controls, geographic restrictions, security controls, or service limitations.
- Share, sell, publish, redistribute, or expose private source credentials, authenticated URLs, downloads, pairing keys, sessions, or account access.
- Upload, link to, request, promote, or facilitate illegal or unauthorized content.
- Use automated credential testing, brute force, scraping, denial-of-service activity, malicious code, phishing, fraud, spam, or deceptive conduct.
- Abuse device pairing, support, feature-request, account recovery, payment, or copyright-reporting systems.
- Impersonate another person or organization or misrepresent an affiliation.
- Interfere with the Service, bypass rate limits, probe another user's data, or reverse-engineer the Service where prohibited by law.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, a provider's terms, or another person's rights.
4. Credentials and Sensitive Information
Do not submit passwords, source URLs containing credentials, API keys, activation codes, session tokens, payment details, or other secrets through support, feature-request, copyright, or public forms.
You are responsible for securing your device, Apple Account, Argus account, and source credentials. Report suspected Argus account misuse through argusplayer.com/contact.
5. Enforcement
Argus may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including warning the account holder, restricting online functionality, revoking paired devices or sessions, disabling account-managed source records, preserving required evidence, and suspending or terminating an account.
Repeated validated copyright infringement may result in account termination. Reports are reviewed in good faith; incomplete or unverified allegations do not automatically produce a strike. Applicable appeal, counter-notice, and legal processes remain available.
6. Reporting
Report security concerns through argusplayer.com/contact. Copyright notices and counter-notices may be submitted through the Copyright and Takedown Center.
Do not include another person's credentials or unnecessary personal data in a report.
7. Changes
Argus may update this policy as the Service, law, or security requirements change. Material changes may require renewed acceptance. The current version is available at argusplayer.com/legal/acceptable-use.
